Run to Run 2025, another great success! Its not too late to donate. Just click on the image below

Run to Run took place on Saturday 31st May 2025 with the mini mile runners starting from 10.30am.

Once again, we had the lovely team from @chaffin_works marshalling the route, along with our brilliant volunteers, so that it was safe with clear routes for runners and supporters.

We had 3 distances on offer: mini mile, 5k and 10k. Our mini mile was perfect for children and families. It was a great way to get up and active on a Saturday morning while also having a lot of fun and supporting a great cause.

The event was another massive success and with your support and donations we will be able to help so many childen along their own personal journeys.

Radio DGH Recommends

Starting something new like running can feel overwhelming, but that is completely normal. Many people feel this way at first.

The free NHS Couch to 5K programme makes it easier by guiding you from the couch to running 5km in just 9 weeks. Let’s take it one step at a time.

Presenter Kevin Turner from Radio DGH took up the challenge. Kevin said, it took me far longer than 9 weeks and that’s because life brings it’s own challenges. However, this is the amazing thing about the NHS Couch to 5k App as you can start, stop, refresh, go back, or simply pick up from where you left the programme. Theres no competitions, no pressure, you do it at your pace, be determined and you will do it.

Wishing you all the very best in completing the Couch to 5k course.
